Ode to Bush (To the tune of
"America the Beautiful")
How honorable your blatant lies,
Your many walls of blame;
How oil, wealth and power are
Your bloody selfish aims!
Oh Bush, you are, without a doubt
Our greatest tragesty--
Now many who once proudly stood
Are dead because of thee!
This song was inspired by my grandma's comment that it would have been nice if the musical program we had just attended had ended with a patriotic song. I tried to think of a government-themed song that would be appropriate for a time when our president is blatantly destroying the environment for his own financial gain and sending coalition troops to fight an unjust war and blatantly lying about the premises for their being there. This is the product of that thought. I am fairly certain that my grandma was not amused.
